How to Link your Blogger to your Twitter via Feedburner

In case you want to automatically publicize your "Blogger" or "Blogspot" blog via Twitter, here's one way how you could do it, using Feedburner.

PART 1: Setup Feedburner Account / Feed for your Blog
1. Go to www.feedburner.com and login using your Google Account (yep, it's part of Google now).
2. On the space provided, enter your blog's URL then click Next.
3. Depending on your blog, you may or may not have an already existing feed and would be asked to select which feed to use (Atom or RSS). If unsure, just select any of the choices (or the default one) then click Next.

4. Specify on the spaces provided the "Feed Title" and the "Feed Address", then click Next.

5. And voila! You have a feedburner for your blog! You can enhance or just play with your feeds settings as you see fit. Either way, this is entirely optional.

PART 2: Adding Feedburner URL to your Blog (optional - Blogger/BlogPost)
*Note: This is an optional step for Blogger. Don't know how to do this via other blogging apps, like WordPress and TypePad.
1. Login to your Blogger account.
2. Go to your blog's Settings > Site Feed.
3. Enter your blog's feed address (from Part 1) in the "Post Feed Redirect URL" box.
4. Click Save Settings. You should see "Settings were Saved Successfully".

PART 3: Syncing your Feeds with Twitter
1. Login to Feedburner and click on your blog's feed.
2. Click on Publicize tab, then Socialize tab. (As of this writing, the only social media supported here is Twitter.)
3. Click on Add a Twitter account. You will be redirected to your twitter account.
4. Login to your twitter account and click Allow (An application would like to connect to your account).

5. You should be redirected back to your blog's Feedburner page. Customize your post updates under the "Formatting Options" and "Items Selection".
6. Click on "Activate" somewhere at the bottom of the page. You should see "You have successfully updated the feed your_feed_title".
You should be able to verify the service status as well.

And that's it. Any new posts on this blog will be twitted within 30 minutes. (Feedburner updates feeds every 30 minutes), although you can opt to tweet it immediately by Pinging your feed here.

Hope this helps! :)
