REPOST: About the Good ol' Days
Reposting something from Facebook which I can identify with... :)
originally posted by jv.
When I was a kid, I didn't have a laptop, iPod, Blackberry, PS3 or iPad. I played outside with friends, bruised my knees, made up adventurous fantasies and played hide and seek. I ate what my mom made and Jollibee was a treat. I would think twice before I said "no" to my parents. Life wasn't hard, it was great and I survived. Kids these days are spoiled. Re-post this if you appreciate the way you were raised. I think we were happier kids :)Cheers! =)

Latest promos for just about everyone on the Web
I don't usually blog about any ads that I ran into, but at least one of the current advertising campaigns right now should appeal to some on the net. So, I'm just doing my part in spreading the good promos out there right now.
This picture pretty much sums up the campaigns. We have something for SingTel and AMPed users, Lady Gaga Fans, Marigold brand patrons, logo designers and artists, anyone who uses makeup, bloggers, Facebook, Twitter and other social media buffs. And did I mention, also anyone who wants to win an iPad 2 or XBox Kinect? :))

Linking a Blog to Facebook and Twitter via NetworkedBlogs app
For the past few days, I've been playing around with several apps in Facebook for blogging.
So far NetworkedBlogs is one of the more useful ones, since it can automatically update your Facebook as well as your Twitter.
So here's how you do it:
1. Login to Facebook and search for NetworkedBlogs.
2. Click on 'Go to application.'
3. Register your blog.
4. Verify your blog. Either have your friends confirm (slow) or you can do it yourself (fast).
5. Click on Add a Twitter account and follow instructions to link this app with your account.

How to Link your Blog to Facebook via Notes
Just in case anyone is interested, here are the steps in linking your blog to your Facebook. The changes in Facebook's look-and-feel a few weeks back changed the way some of the applications are configured, such as Notes. Here's the way I found on how to do this easily and quickly:
1. Search for "Notes"

Facebook user beware! 419 Scam
Just came across the following news this morning about a new scam on the rise in Facebook. Check it out here.
Here's the gist:
Careful guys!
Here's the gist:
Fraudulent individuals collect log—in information through phishing sites and access Facebook accounts to send inbox or chat messages or to update the person’s profile. And they claim to be stranded in a foreign country and ask friends to send money, usually through a money transfer service.
The scam had previously been perpetrated through emails.
But more cyber criminals are leveraging on social engineering as a means of deceiving users...
Social engineering takes advantage of our natural tendency to trust one another, rather than relying solely on technological means to steal information
Careful guys!

Our Pets in Pet Society
Well, it's 5:00 AM in the morning here and I haven't slept yet. You can blame it on my shifting work schedule... And I guess partially also the the Pet Society game in Facebook. :)
For about a month now, I've been combing through the difference applications there. Vampire Wars, Mafia Wars, and the like are all good. After a while, though, it gets old. I guess the dependence on the number of your friends playing this game can only do so much. Sometimes, it's stressing when you find out that people are clobbering your character all the time. And stress is not exactly why I wanted to join Facebook in the first place.
Unlike the other games, Pet Society gets high scores for me at this time. I guess the capability to interact with Che in a more... uhm... constructive way gives it that every needed boost in likeability. :) I guess doing simple things for people -- like giving a ninja suit or leaving a short note -- is all that's needed to put a smile on your face.

Che's pet's name is Jessie, named after our dog we left behind in Manila. Similarly, I named my pet after our other dog, Jessie's partner, Doggie. Yep, seriously, that's his name. :) Don't ask why! :))
The two are wearing "terno" ninja suits. We didn't actually complete the whole ninja look; the ninja facemask don't fit them very well, so we just kept the headgear casual. :)
Good morning!

I'm a Chuck Addict!
Hehehe.. Couldn't sleep much after waking up at around 3PM. So I just logged in to Facebook and checked out the "I'm a Chuck Addict" app, which I haven't actually been looking into since I first accepted it.
Well would you look at that!
I just worked my way up to 2000 points in the trivia game. Each question is worth 10points. I made some mistakes along the way, so that's definitely more than 200 questions I answered in one sitting. Geez!
Hehehe.. Just can't stop answering the trivia, espcially if you know the answers to most of the questions.
Anyway, I decided to stop at 2000 points with the Enthusiast ranking for now. Maybe next time when I'm not doing anything important such as... uhm... scrubbing the drawers to get rid of the smell of mildew mixed with varnish. Ech! :))
