Every now and then, we want a taste of home and have one of our favorite delicacies. It's pretty rare that we look specifically for bulalo, but when we do, we always end up disappointed: Meat was not tender; wrong type of meat; wrong type of bone; not enough meat; you name it. I think we've been served every type of disappointment in the bulalo department for the last five years we've been in SG.
That changed tonight.
Finally, we found a restaurant serves "real" bulalo. The traditional one, with the tender meat, bone marrow and everything.
Just go to Lucky Plaza at the fourth floor. From the escalator, just turn left and look for the sign Balai Kainan. It's pretty hard to miss. But just in case: if you reach the corner, you've gone too far.
